One way to take a dental impression is to make a physical mold, or imprint, of your teeth. Not only is the mold material sticky and uncomfortable, patients must sit with mouth full of goop (similar to a quick curing epoxy resin) as it hardens. The Emerald S seamlessly records a 3D full color impression of your mouth that can then be integrated with our 3D Cone-Beam CT scans to form a unified and complete diagnostic image of your entire mouth for very detailed planning of implants, partials and many other highly specialized treatments and oral appliances.
Within 2-3 minutes you will see on the computer screen the completed scan, which gives you a clear understanding of your teeth’s condition and bite formation, and it allows you to make a more informed decision regarding your treatment options.
